Rob Hoy Rob, a Coffs Coast local boasts 19 years experience after graduating with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy in 1989 from Cumberland Health Sciences (Sydney University). He has extensive experience in the public and private sectors including working at St Vincent's Public Hospital in Sydney, 2 years doing locums in England, 11 years working, owning and managing an Allied Health practice at Baringa Private Hospital in Coffs Harbour and now 2 years in partnership, with his cousin Matthew, at Hoys Physiotherapy. During this time Rob has gained extensive experience in the treatment of a wide range of injuries – in the clinic, on field and traveling with sporting teams. This has included traveling to South Africa in January 2007 with the Australian Touch Football Teams in their successful defence of the Open and Senior World Cups. Rob also has extensive post-graduate experience including Frontline and Leadership Management courses, Certificate in Spinal Manual Therapy and numerous sports and manual therapy courses. |

Matt Hoy Matt holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University and has practiced on the Mid North Coast since 2005. He commenced the partnership operating Hoys Physiotherapy at Coffs Harbour and Sawtell and enjoys operating a small business in Coffs Harbour. Matt has extensive related qualifications including a Spinal Manual Therapy Certificate and is a qualified Bounce back Instructor. Matt also plans to study a Level 1 Sports Physiotherapy Diploma or Masters by correspondence. |

Chipo Emmanuel
Chipo Emmanuel obtained her bachelors degree in Physiotherapy from La Trobe University (Melbourne) in 2004. Chipo grew up in Botswana and following her graduation from La Trobe she moved back there to work as a physiotherapist for a diamond mine where she developed her passion for treating work place injuries and sport injuries. This interest lead to her decision to migrate back to Australia in 2008 taking up a position in Mt Isa where she worked providing physiotherapy treatment and work place based rehabilitation for mine employees and the community, gaining extensive experience in management of a variety of musculoskeletal injuries. After spending a year in Mt Isa Chipo felt it was time for a sea change and made the move to Coffs Harbour. She is currently completing her Masters in workplace injury management and occupational rehabilitation through distance learning. |
| Robbie Power Robbie graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from The University of Sydney. Over the past 8 years she has worked in many facets of Physiotherapy including the public and private sector in both Australia and New Zealand. Robbie completed her graduate year in a large Private Organisation in Sydney developing skills in chronic pain and rehabilitation. Robbie then returned to her home town of Coffs Harbour where she worked in a private hospital setting developing strong skills in post operative orthopaedics and musculoskeletal injuries, and continued her work with chronic pain rehabilitation. Following this, Robbie returned to Sydney and then relocated to New Zealand working extensively in private practise and Aged Care. Robbie joined the Hoys Physiotherapy team in June 2009. She has a particular interest in sports injuries, exercise rehabilitation, chronic pain, post-op orthopaedics and falls prevention. She is committed to professional development and has recently completed courses in muscle energy techniques for spinal and pelvic disorders. |

Jonathan Gordon - Remedial Masseur
Jonathan has a Diploma of Remedial Massage, Trigger Point Therapy and incorporates Acupressure and a range of techniques that take a holistic approach to healing. Jonathan is a member of the ATMS and is Health Fund accredited. Jonathan works with local and state sporting teams as well as providing follow-up massage therapy for patients already being treated at Hoys Physiotherapy. Massage has been utilised as an effective treatment since the ancient cultures of 3000+ years ago. Especially helpful for pain relief, relieving tension from the soft tissues and releasing trigger points (knots in the muscles), massage encourages oxygen rich blood flow to the area to enable healing and normal function. |
